About

Charlie and Betsy are Nottingham based filmmakers, and creators of the film collective ‘Lounge Trip’.

Charlie Sharp studied on the Film and TV production course here at Confetti, and has since gone on to work on a range of short films, screening them at local and international film festivals, with their short film “Fluorescent Adolescent” currently available to stream on All4, after being nominated for “Best British Short” at the BAFTA-qualifying Iris Prize LGBTQ+ film festival.

Betsy Finlay-Sheil has worked on a number of BFI funded short films, and is a freelance film journalist featuring on blogs such as national film charity Birds-Eye-View. She is also currently completing a course in fine art, where she is exploring the relationship between art and film.

Lounge Trip is a collective created by young people, for young people.

From networking, on-set experience, to putting on events, Charlie and Betsy give their advice and tips on how to thrive within the Nottingham film scene.
