Emily Catherine

Illustrator & Artist

A chance to meet and hear from one of Nottingham's finest creative artists! Emily returns to Industry Week to share insights and top tips on how to make it as a freelancer.

About

Emily is an award-winning professional freelance artist who has been practicing for ten years.

She specialises in hand painted pieces in a variety of mediums and is known for her work in the music industry, large-scale murals, and has been published internationally both in print and online.

Emily will talk about her journey to becoming a full-time creative, which was an unconventional path. She will then take questions and answer any practical queries about how to start your own creative business within practical, legal and ethical boundaries that will fit you. This talk is an opportunity to gain good insight into non-traditional methods of freelancing in the creative industries, learning more about a full time creative in the city and gain connections with others. This is where you get to ask the questions no one else does.

Important: Sign-ups are only valid with your Confetti or NTU student email address. Compulsory group students do not need to book.

Compulsory Groups (in-person): HE Graphics

This session will take place in P2, Metronome.

If you can’t attend in person, this event will also be streamed. Book your online ticket.
