Cappo

UK hip hop artist

About

Cappo, also known as Dr Paul Adey, is a hip hop artist, lyricist and performer who has been part of the scene for over two decades. His work is built around words, flow and storytelling, using rap as a way to explore ideas, identity and culture.

Over the years he has performed at major venues across Europe, appearing on the same line-ups as artists such as Public Enemy, Skepta and Sleaford Mods. His experience covers live shows, writing, recording and understanding how artists build a long term presence in music.

Alongside performing, he teaches Popular Music and Music Business at Nottingham Trent University. His teaching links directly to what he does as an artist, looking at lyrics, meaning in songs, and how music connects with wider culture, media and storytelling.

Cappo’s journey shows how skills in writing, performance and creativity can lead to different paths in music, from the stage to education, making his story relatable for students who enjoy music, words and expressing themselves through sound.

Important: Sign-ups are only valid with your Confetti  email. Compulsory group students do not need to book.
