Games Expo

Back for a fourth year, our Games Expo brings together tabletop game developers for a day of board game fun!

About

We’ve got a strong line-up of developers, designers and manufacturers for this year’s eagerly anticipated Games Expo.

Our industry guests will be bringing plenty of participation games and previews for students, whilst Confetti games students will be hosting activities for everyone to enjoy – so make sure you visit Metronome!

Don’t forget to bring your own board and card games to our dedicated ‘Bring & Play’ zone.

Warlord Games

Formed in 2007, Warlord Games are designers, manufacturers and distributors of finely detailed historical and science fiction miniatures in plastic, metal and resin.

Since then they’ve released multiple core rule sets to cover everything from the Ancients, the Horse & Musket era, the Black Powder era, right through World War Two and beyond into the future! They have also made a number of excellent licenced games including their brilliant Dr Who Miniatures games and a set of games from the pages of the very popular 2000AD Comic.

Mantic Games

The Mantic Team is made up of hobby enthusiasts and world-class creatives that bring you miniature ranges such as Deadzone, Kings of War and Warpath. Not to mention some of the best board games on the market like Hellboy, The Walking Dead, Here’s Negan, Star Saga (the futuristic dungeon crawler) and DreadBall – The Futuristic Sports Game.

The Nottingham firm are just about to kickstart a game based on The Umbrella Academy Comics by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance.

Stonesword Games

Stone Sword Games was set up in 2019 by tabletop and games developers James Faulkner and Paul David Allen.

James is recently left the finance industry to pursue his passion in tabletop games. Particular interested in mechanics and publishing, James aims to broaden the portfolio of Stone Sword Games with fantastic, intuitive new games that retain a strong degree of accessibility for all ages/abilities.

Paul’s big motivator is design and artwork, and has ambitions to explore the use of graphics and style to make a more immersive experience for players without pricing them out of their comfort zone.

The team will be bringing with them their newest game – Senjutsu – and other popular games such as Hogs of War games.

IMPORTANT: No booking necessary for this event – just turn up on the day. Compulsory group students do not need to book.
