Musician

Jack Atherton is a skilled drummer who will be sharing what it is like to tour with Jake Bugg and play some of the world's biggest music festivals.

About

Jack began playing drums at the age of 11 and in that time has received lessons from many world class drummers. Notably, the legendary Jim Chapin became a mentor to Jack and passed down the famous Moeller technique.

Jack’s work as a session drummer has gained him international success. Since 2011 Jack has toured extensively both internationally and in the UK with Jake Bugg. They have performed at huge festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic, and Reading and Leeds Festival. They have also supported artists including The Rolling Stones, The Black Keys, Noel Gallagher and His High Flying Birds, and The Arcade Fire.

Jack now lives in Japan, and still works with Jake Bugg as well as other artists in Japan. He also continues his playing, recording and teaching internationally.
