Jumping Jack Frost

Jungle and drum & bass pioneer

About

Jumping Jack Frost is one of the original pioneers of UK jungle and drum and bass. Emerging from the London underground rave scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s, he helped shape the sound and culture of a movement that would go on to influence global electronic music.

As a founding member of V Recordings and a long standing presence on the UK club circuit, Frost built his reputation through technical skill, deep record knowledge and a commitment to pushing new music. His sets became known for energy, precision and an instinct for reading a crowd, whether in intimate clubs or major festival environments.

Across decades in the industry, he has remained active as a DJ, label figure and mentor, championing emerging artists while continuing to represent the roots of jungle culture. His career charts the journey of UK rave music from pirate radio and warehouse parties to international stages.
